Accelerated Resolution Therapy

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (or A.R.T.) is a unique approach to therapy, which involves the use of eye movements to reprogram the brain, replacing negative images of traumatic events, with more positive images of the client’s choosing. Many clients enjoy this type of therapy for it’s quickness. Oftentimes, an issue can be resolved in just one session! Once the negative images in the brain are replaced with positive images, the symptoms like nightmares and intrusive thoughts disappear. Clients no longer feel triggered.

A.R.T. is evidence based and you can learn more about the growing body of research on A.R.T. here.

A.R.T. can help resolve symptoms stemming from a variety of diagnoses including: OCD, Eating Disorders, Generalized Anxiety and Generalized Depressive Disorders. (The issues that have been resolved by A.R.T. are listed more fully on the Rosenzweig Center for Rapid Recovery Accelerated Resolution Therapy page linked here)

You can read about comparisons between EMDR and ART here.
